One Year Anniversary!

This past Saturday was mine and Will's one year anniversary. To celebrate we headed off to Assateague Island. It is technically in Maryland, but it feels like a world of its own!

No homes are allowed on this island that juts out into the water. This is meant to preserve its natural state. We camped, went to the STUNNING beach, and on our last day, visited the Ocean City boardwalk, a very touristy fun area.

The Island of Assateague is known for its wild horses. The horses roam all over the campsites, beaches, etc. It is pretty cool. We brought Diggy with us, and he absolutely loved the camping experience. We let him off the leash all weekend for him to explore. We were pleasantly surprised at how good he is off leash, never leaving us! He also LOVES the ocean; jumping in the water and playing in the sand. He developed a funny habit of digging himself a hole to lay in haha.

All in all we had a FANTASTIC anniversary. We remembered our top tier cake and some champagne from our honeymoon that we saved for morning mimosas! Marriage is great :).

Employed!!!!!

I thought I should announce to the world that I have a job!!!
I will be working full time as a stylist at All About Me salon and dayspa. From the moment I walked in, I knew I wanted to be there. It is adorable inside, both upbeat and low key, as well as classy and fun.

I had an interview on Tuesday where I preformed a demonstration highlight and cut on a model they brought in. To my surprise I found that the model is a christian. I ended up with a church recommendation (Will and I are in search of a church) that I am so excited to try out, and a job! I can't wait to make women all over Baltimore feel beautiful :).

Congratulations Jason and Cynthia!!!!!!

Will and I are so excited to welcome Cynthia into our family. She is super sweet and crazy about Jason. What more do you need to know?

Jason proposed to Cynthia on Singing Beach with a picnic and champagne (how romantical). Her ring is stunning, and so will Cynthia be as a bride!

We can't wait for June 11th, 2010 :)
Everything has finally been coming together! Here is our $20 Big Lots find, the zebra rug. Being very trendy, we were hoping to find a cheap one so that we didn't feel guilty when we didn't want to use it down the road....boy did we find the right price!!! The brown chair was also found in a free pile outside of our apartment-we simply recovered with fabric from wal-mart. Decorating with little money is actually fun for us-it's like a mission!!

Here is our $25 dollar Craig's List dining table (that Zipper is illegally laying on). Only thing missing? Chairs! That's next on our list.

Meanwhile, Diggy will chew on anything he can get his little jaw around.

Considering our apartment is still out of sorts, you will have to wait for pics of that (stay tuned!). You may, however, see pictures of Diggy. Diggy is our baby Norwich Terrier and Yorkie mix. We just picked him up from the breeder yesterday! He is the sweetest little guy! Will and I are having so much fun training and playing with him. He is about 13 weeks old and is as cute as the dickens. So far, his favorite thing to do is be with Will and me. Man do we love him!

We are finally out of our apartment. After many long days and late nights, we have packed up every last item into both mine and Will's parent's garage.
It is still surreal to me that we are even moving. I continue to expect
that we will eventually leave my parents, and head back to our little apartment. It was actually kind of sad as we walked out of our apartment for the last time. Having been the first place that Will and I moved into after getting married, our leave was bitter-sweet. So many memories. Oh, well. On to the next destination. The good? We are one home closer to finally, and hopefully (God willing), moving to North Carolina.

On another related note, our cats thoroughly enjoyed the moving process...that is until
I packaged them up in their little carriers and put them into the car. That ride was filled with a chorus of meows...poor little duffers.

Moving

Packing up our apartment has been a nightmare to say the least. If it weren't for my mom and Will's brother Jay, I'm not sure how Will and I would have gotten packed up! We will be moving in with my parents for a couple weeks so that we don't have to renew our lease here in VT. Our move to Maryland will take place on the 11th.

I only have two more days left with my little Noah (the little boy I have been nannying for). I'm going to miss that little guy so much!!!

Ashley and Steve's Wedding

On June 20Th, one of my best friends Ashley got married. She and Steve both went to Grove City College (where I met Ashley). Ashley was a bridesmaid in my wedding, and I was one in hers! So we have that fun memory of watching each other get married. I also sang "Love of My Life" by Michael W. Smith at their ceremony.

The weather held up for her wedding day only. It was a beautiful day-God is good! Their wedding and reception were both in York, Maine. She and Steve had a beach theme for their reception and it was both creative and beautiful! They honeymooned in Mexico at the same location that Will and I did (Excellence Playa Mujeres). It's hard to pass up such an awesome resort! Will and I wish them nothing but love and happiness!!
